Negative Things About Golf

Roybob’s Book on Golf: The Hucks, A Golfer’s Divine Comedy, and a Religious Philosophy of Golf

I was looking over my website last evening after I returned home from playing golf.  I noticed that someone did a search for “negative things about golf” and somehow wound up at my site.  Being such an ardent defender of the game, I wondered, “How did that happen?” So, out of curiosity, I did the same search on Google, and the first entry was my article on “Golf and Theodicy: Why Bad Things Happen to Good Golfers.”  I can understan, I suppose, how a search engine could construe “Golf…Bad Things…” into “Negative Things about Golf.”  As I looked through the other listings, however, I was struck by the fact that there were very few postings, at least as far as I advanced, that actually related “negative things about golf.”  I am not ignorant of the pitfalls of being addicted to golf, but I find us fortunate to play so wonderful a game that one can find so few negative postings.
